The Los Angeles Lakers have unveiled the 2020 NBA Championship replica ring that they will give away to fans on Jan. 24 when they host the Washington Wizards:

That 2020 ring was not only the Lakers’ most recent championship, but also one that truly meant so much to the players for everything they had to go through to win it, not to mention the fans who were along for the ride in what was such a tumultuous season.
The team was led by the duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, but also had an outstanding cast of role players that allowed the squad to play any style. Alex Caruso, Kyle Kuzma, Rajon Rondo, Danny Green, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Dwight Howard and JaVale McGee all played massive roles for a Lakers team that was one of the best in the NBA all season long.
Of course, this was the infamous coronavirus season in which the entire world was shut down in March and games were suspended for five months. The conclusion of the regular season and playoffs would then take place in Orlando inside the Bubble with the Lakers dominating in that environment while others fell apart and collapsed. The Lakers ran through the Portland Trail Blazers, Houston Rockets and Denver Nuggets before taking down a feisty Miami Heat team in the NBA Finals.
The Lakers also had to deal with the sudden passing of the legendary Kobe Bryant, with everyone growing closer together as they dealt with that tragedy and trying to honor his legacy, which they did in the best way possible with a championship.
This replica ring giveaway is one of the best of the 2026-27 season and, coincidentally, the only player from that 2020 championship team slated to be in the building will be Davis, who now plays for the Wizards. But fans will be in for a good show as they will get a beautiful replica ring and get to see Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves take on Davis and 2026 first overall pick AJ Dybantsa in what could very well be a thrilling contest.

The Lakers will be having a number of giveaways throughout the season and of course that will include some honoring their current stars.
A Doncic bobblehead commemorating his scoring title last season will be given away on Nov. 1 when the Lakers host the Toronto Raptors. One for his backcourt partner and best friend Reaves will also be coming on Dec. 27 when the Lakers take on the Memphis Grizzlies.
