Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid has an ongoing feud with the father of Los Angeles Lakers rookie point guard Lonzo Ball, LaVar Ball.

It began on draft night when Embiid responded to a tweet of teammate Ben Simmons’, telling him to dunk on Lonzo so hard that his dad needs to come onto the court to save him.

LaVar responded to Embiid’s tweet saying that he shouldn’t be on Twitter when he can’t stay healthy and hasn’t made the playoffs. Embiid did not take well to that, as he had some expletives for LaVar, which earned him a fine from the NBA.

It is easy to tell that there is no love lost between Embiid and LaVar, although according to TMZ there is a price that would get Embiid to wear Big Baller Brand shoes:

Embiid asking for $1 billion to wear the shoes is similar to what LaVar said when negotiating with Lonzo and the big shoe companies like Nike, Adidas and Under Armour.

Originally LaVar said that it would cost the companies $1 billion to sign Lonzo, but that price has since gone up to $3 billion after his play in the NBA Summer League.

While Embiid did say that he would wear there shoes for the billion dollar price he suggested, don’t expect negotiations to get too far between Embiid and LaVar.
