Lakers Will Officially Introduce Antawn Jamison on Wednesday

The Los Angeles Lakers have made some key acquisitions this off-season, starting with the trade for Steve Nash and their signing of Antawn Jamison. The Lakers had one of the worst benches in the league last season, but Jamison will surely help fix that weakness. He is a player who can create his own shot and will take some of the pressure off the starters.

Jamison will be joining Jordan Hill off the Lakers’ bench in 2012-13, and those two players will cause a lot of problems for opponents. Jamison was an All-Star player for the Washington Wizards and there is no doubt he can have a vital role in the Lakers’ championship pursuit.

The Lakers will officially introduce Antawn Jamison tomorrow at 2 p.m. PST.

Still, even with the addition of Jamison, the Lakers must acquire more players. Los Angeles lacks in athleticism and youth, so it must address those issues before moving forward.

The Lakers also need a backup shooting guard to help lessen the minutes Kobe Bryant plays. There were rumors that the Lakers were interested in Delonte West, but now that he signed with the Dallas Mavericks, the Lakers will have to cross his name off the list.
