Lamar Odom Arrested For DUI According To Multiple Reports

NBA: Los Angeles Clipperss-Media Day

It’s been a difficult week for Lamar Odom and it, unfortunately, continued this early Friday morning. The former Sixth Man of the Year and two-time champion was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs in the San Fernando Valley area.

According to TMZ, Odom was pulled over on the 101 Freeway for going too slow and drove three exits before finally coming to a stop:

“He was pulled over on the 101 Freeway for going too slow — 50 MPH. Lamar initially did not respond to cops, and drove 3 exits before finally coming to a stop. He showed obvious signs of intoxication.”

When Odom finally stopped, he failed numerous field sobriety tests and also refused any chemical tests. He is reportedly being held on $15,000 bail in a nearby San Fernando Valley station.

At this point, everything that needs to be said has been said. Lakers Nation and his teammates are obviously concerned and saddened by these stories that are being reported on a daily basis. We can only hope that these stories don’t get progressively worse.

While most fans would love to see him back with the Lakers, the team was put in a difficult position and are unfortunately no longer interested in his services. At this stage, basketball is no longer a priority and hopefully Odom finds his way back to the person that made him a fan favorite in Los Angeles.

In seven seasons with the Lakers, Odom averaged 13.7 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 3.7 assists as he helped deliver back-to-back championships.
