LaVar Ball Claims Lakers Will Win A Championship With LeBron James, Lonzo Playing Together
Magic Johnson Believes Lebron James Is Already A Top-five Player Of All-time

There’s been a lot of speculation swirling around the NBA this summer about what LeBron James’ intentions might be this time next year. LeBron will likely become a free agent by opting out his contract with the Cleveland Cavaliers, and some seem to believe he’ll give the Los Angeles Lakers serious consideration in free agency.

If LeBron does decide to go West to dawn the purple and gold, he’ll be playing alongside Lonzo Ball. LaVar, Lonzo’s controversial and outspoken father, thinks if that happens the Lakers will win a championship, via Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN:

“Heck yeah!” LaVar told ESPN while watching his son make his Lakers debut in a Las Vegas Summer League game against the Los Angeles Clippers. “Lonzo and LeBron? Come on, man! That’s real deal. You don’t want to give him the best player in the world. You don’t want to give Lonzo the best player in the world and don’t get no championship? Shoot.”

At this point, LaVar’s outlandish comments come as no surprise. LaVar makes bold statements because that’s what he does and so far things have panned out for his son who could quickly become the undisputed leader of this Lakers squad.

As for LeBron’s future, there’s no telling what may happen. Things don’t seem to be going too well in Cleveland at the moment, especially without everyone being under the assumption that James will be there for one more season and leave for greener pastures.

The Cavs appear to have one more shot to win a title with LeBron leading the way, and if the team stays as constructed, it may not be enough to compete with the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors.

In the meantime, Lonzo will try to make a name for himself in Los Angeles while playing alongside Brandon Ingram and hope a superstar or two wants to wear a Lakers uniform next year.
