The Los Angeles Lakers attempt to bounce back against the lowly Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night in a compelling matchup between some of the league’s best rookies. Jordan Clarkson and Andrew Wiggins go head-to-head in a showdown of offensive-minded players that have been impressive in their first year in the league.

Head coach Byron Scott may have not been in attendance for tonight’s game, but Paul Pressey, interim coach, chose to go with the same starting lineup featuring a Clarkson and Jeremy Lin backcourt. Check out the highlights provided by Time Warner Cable SportsNet:

Lakers up 24-15 over Minny after 1st Q.. Tarik Black leading with 6 points, 3 boards and 2 blocks

— Mark Medina (@MarkG_Medina) March 26, 2015

LAL closed the 1st Q on a 16-4 run to take a 24-15 lead into the 2nd Q. Meanwhile, likely Rookie of the Year Andrew Wiggins has yet to rest.

We just witnessed Canadian-on-Canadian crime as Andrew Wiggins dunks on (or by) Robert Sacre.

Anytime the Lakers make a mistake, the T-Wolves scoreboard plays a clip of Nelson Muntz laughing at them

— Mark Medina (@MarkG_Medina) March 26, 2015

Kelly strikes from the corner, giving him a team-high 7 points, while the Lakers lead 41-35 with 5 minutes left in the half.

— Los Angeles Lakers (@Lakers) March 26, 2015

LAL's lead is 49-43 at halftime, behind some balanced scoring: 6 Lakers have at least 5 points. Lin had 5 assists as the team shot 49%.

— Mike Trudell (@LakersReporter) March 26, 2015

Lakers end the first half up 6 over Minnesota, 49-43. Plenty of that J. Lin to Ed Davis connection.

— Serena Winters (@SerenaWinters) March 26, 2015

Jeremy Lin went through five defenders for the layup as Lakers have their biggest lead at 13.

— Lakers Nation (@LakersNation) March 26, 2015

Not much is going on, but Lakers still lead 58-47 with 7:18 left in the third.

— Lakers Nation (@LakersNation) March 26, 2015

Ryan Kelly w/ his tribute to Dr. J there. Haha.

— Darius Soriano (@forumbluegold) March 26, 2015

Jeremy Lin with another strong performance with 11 in the third.

Jeremy Lin drops 13 of his game-high 19 points in the third quarter, as the Lakers look to close out. pic.twitter.com/MIDQtw0LCY

— Los Angeles Lakers (@Lakers) March 26, 2015

Four early 4th Q fouls by the Lakers will have the Wolves in the bonus for the rest of the period, with 8:18 still to play. LAL up 79-74.

— Mike Trudell (@LakersReporter) March 26, 2015

Actually, that last foul by Sacre at the 8:18 mark was LAL's 5th in the 4th Q already, so Minnesota got 2 FT's to cut LAL's lead to 3.

— Mike Trudell (@LakersReporter) March 26, 2015

Wolves push ahead 82-81

— LakersTV (@LakersTV) March 26, 2015

With less than four minutes to go, Clarkson, Brown, Ellington, Kelly and Black are in to close this game.

— Lakers Nation (@LakersNation) March 26, 2015

Ryan Kelly now just 3-15 from beyond the arc in his last three games (incl. tonight).

— Serena Winters (@SerenaWinters) March 26, 2015

Ryan Kelly gets the fly-bu-bye. However, he just couldn't get his legs under that one. #Overtime…yup, exactly what we all wanted.

— Shahan Ahmed (@shahanLA) March 26, 2015

LAL held a 5-point lead with 1:38 to play, before the Wolves got 2 FT's, 3 stops and the corner 3 from Budinger to tie it up.

— Mike Trudell (@LakersReporter) March 26, 2015

What a pass from Jabari Brown to Tarik Black for the dunk as the Lakers regain the lead with 2:40 left in OT.

— Lakers Nation (@LakersNation) March 26, 2015

Jordan Clarkson's 6th turnover (5 assists) comes midway through overtime. Rookie struggling a bit to close.

— Serena Winters (@SerenaWinters) March 26, 2015

Jordan Clarkson ties the game with two-free throws with 1:00 left in OT.

— Lakers Nation (@LakersNation) March 26, 2015

Minnesota's 19th TO is a Wiggins travel, and Clarkson answered with a layup with 34.5 seconds left to put LAL up 2. LaVine let him fly by.

— Mike Trudell (@LakersReporter) March 26, 2015

This is a league-leading 8th overtime game this season for the #Lakers

— Calder Hynes (@calder_h) March 26, 2015

Lakers win on overtime 101-99.
