Media Day: Dwight Howard Thrilled to be on the Lakers

Lakers Media Day is known to be quite the hub of crazy in Los Angeles, as all the media surrounds the team as they get ready to start training camp and begin the pre-season.

This season things are more exciting than usual, as the team has acquired two future Hall of Fame players in Dwight Howard and Steve Nash.

Howard, who went through a messy divorce with the Orlando Magic, spoke about how thrilled he was to be a member of the Lakers.

“It’s amazing. I’m happy to be here, seeing all the guys and everybody’s excited for the season. We’re excited and happy. I’ve been excited from day one, since the day I found out I was coming here. I’ve been very excited, very happy. I’m just so blessed to be in this situation. I want to show my gratitude to the Lakers organization.”

After the way he left Orlando and the rumors surrounding his back injury and availability for next season, Howard seemed more excited than ever to be a member of the Lakers.
