After two championships in four straight NBA Finals appearances, the Miami Heat face an uncertain future with LeBron James and Dwyane Wade opting out of their contracts. On Saturday, Chris Bosh followed his teammates as he also opted out of his contract and will become an unrestricted free agent according to ESPN’s Chris Broussard:

After taking a pay cut to join Miami four seasons ago, Bosh is reportedly seeking a five year deal in the $15-16 million range. Although most believe the three players will remain with the Heat, Bosh will likely receive numerous offers since there are very few big men available in this year’s free agent market.

While the Lakers are hoping to land LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony this summer, there were reports throughout the season of Los Angeles having interest in Bosh. The team currently has the cap space to sign a player to a max contract heading into free agency and is looking to possibly shed more salary by trading Steve Nash’s contract.

With the Lakers selecting Julius Randle at Thursday’s draft, the team is looking to add more quality big men as Robert Sacre is the only frontcourt player under contract for next season.
