One player on the Indiana Pacers that really saw his stock fall in the playoffs last season was center Roy Hibbert. The two-time All-Star struggled immensely during the postseason and simply wasn’t the same dominant force in the paint.

As a result of Hibbert’s struggles, the Pacers are rumored to be shopping the center with his days in Indiana potentially numbered if they can find a team willing to take on his contract.

In the meantime, Hibbert is making an effort to improve his game by working with one of the greatest centers of all-time in Kareem Abdul-Jabbar according to this post Hall of Famer’s Instagram account:

Pacer fans get ready for next season. I’m helping to get Roy ready to become a serious threat to his competitors.

Heading into last season, the Indiana Pacers were considered to be the biggest threat to the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference. Paul George and company had seemingly come into their own, but then after a hot start to the year, Indiana began to fall apart in the final months of the season.

Although Hibbert’s future remains uncertain, the veteran center has an opportunity to turn over a new leaf this summer by expanding his game while learning from one of the best players to have ever played the position.

Former Lakers Dwight Howard and Andrew Bynum have also tried to learn from Abdul-Jabbar in the past without much success, but Hibbert could prove to be the exception. Next season will be make or break for Hibbert in Indiana.
