Four-time NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal isn’t one to shy away from making bold statements. The former Los Angeles Lakers superstar made another bold statement through his Instagram account recently.

Apparently, Shaq believes a squad composed of Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Elgin Baylor, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and himself would beat a Chicago Bulls starting five including Derrick Rose, Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Dennis Rodman and Horace Grant.

Not only is Shaq convinced the Lakers would come out on top against Jordan and company, but they’d beat them by at least fifty points, via Instagram:

We would beat em by fifty "what you think". Let me know and don't hold back

The debate about the greatest Lakers going up against the greatest Bulls will go on forever. We’ll never actually know which team would win in one showdown or a seven-game series, but many do believe the Lakers have the edge.

Of the five Lakers mentioned in Shaq’s Instagram post, the combined ring count is 20. Baylor retired nine games into the 1971-72 NBA season. Ironically, Jerry West and Wilt Chamberlain went on to win an NBA title that season.

As for the Bulls, the combined ring count is 21. Jordan and Pippen lead the way with six rings apiece. Baylor and Rose are the only two without a ring.
