TWITTER: Damian Lillard Believes ‘People Sleep On Kobe’s Greatness’

Kobe Bryant with Trophies

With the Cleveland Cavaliers facing the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference Finals, LeBron James is two wins away from reaching the NBA Finals for the fifth consecutive season.

Only in his 12th season, LeBron is quickly moving up numerous lists and his place among the all-time greats is a constant discussion that usually includes Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant.

With some basketball fans believing LeBron has already surpassed Kobe, Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard took to Twitter to defend the five-time champion:

There’s no question that LeBron’s accomplishments are impressive. The superstar forward continues to show he’s one of the greatest to ever play the game, but Tim Duncan and Kobe remain on the mountain top among active players with five titles to James’ two.

With no serious injuries throughout his career and currently in an ideal situation back in Cleveland, there’s no telling how many individual accolades the four-time NBA MVP can rack up. Although the accolades are putting him in select company, it’s all about the titles and Bryant is well ahead in that category.
