VIDEO: Byron Scott Talks Kobe Bryant, Jeremy Lin Combo

After the Los Angeles Lakers lost to the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night in their second preseason game, head coach Byron Scott admits he was a bit disappointed in the Lakers defense. Scott said the Lakers needed to have more initiative and focus on setting the tempo.

The Lakers have only participated in about a week and a half of training camp and although Scott said his team can have a “little leeway right now,” he expects the team to know exactly what they should be doing defensively by the end of the month. Scott reiterated that the Lakers simply got outworked and outhustled on Thursday.

Steve Nash was sidelined against the Warriors for precautionary reasons. As such, Jeremy Lin was given the opportunity to start alongside Kobe Bryant for the first time. Check out what Scott thought about the Lin/Bryant combination in our video above.

Plus, what is it that Bryant would like to see from Lin? For that, check out our video below.
