VIDEO: Carlos Boozer, ‘Nobody Believes In Us, But Us’

The Los Angeles Lakers dropped to 1-8 Friday night in their 93-80 loss to the San Antonio Spurs. Through nine games, that’s the Lakers worst record to start a season in franchise history.

Lakers forward Carlos Boozer recorded 19 points and eight rebounds in the Lakers loss and admitted how tough it is to keep spirits high:

“It is tough. But we’ve got a good group of guys. We stick together. Nobody really believes in us, but us. We’re knocked down but we have to get back up. We will.”

Boozer thought the Lakers played much better tonight, though they weren’t able to find a shooting rhythm. Boozer said he’s hoping that moving forward the team will look to capitalize on Kobe Bryant as a play-maker, especially with his ability to draw double teams.

Bryant attempted to play through illness in the Lakers loss, but wasn’t himself, ending the night shooting just 1-14. Bryant doesn’t know yet if he’ll be able to practice tomorrow or play on Sunday against the Golden State Warriors.
