VIDEO: Jeremy Lin, ‘One Of The Toughest Situations I’ve Been In’

After twenty games, Lakers head coach Byron Scott debuted a new starting lineup Sunday night against the New Orleans Pelicans, featuring Ronnie Price and Ed Davis alongside Kobe Bryant, Jordan Hill and Wesley Johnson. Jeremy Lin and Carlos Boozer were both switched to the second unit.

Unfortunately, the Lakers did not look like they were ready to compete and lost 104-87 to Anthony Davis and the New Orleans Pelicans.

In his new role, Lin played 20 minutes, scoring three points with four assists and one turnover on Sunday. After the game, Lin admitted he was disappointed when he first learned he was headed to the bench, though Byron Scott told the media he seemed “OK” with it. Asked if his past 20 games have been representative of him as a player, Lin replied, “No. Not even close.”

Lin also discusses just how difficult of a situation this has been, especially with so many changes.

This is one of the toughest situations I’ve been in ever since I’ve started playing the game of basketball. We have so much going on. So many new people, coaches coming in, it’s brand new, playing with Kobe, that’s new to me. Trying to figure out everything, all at once.”

After the game, Scott said he plans stick to his new starting lineup for about 10-15 games before he considers making additional changes. The Lakers take on the Sacramento Kings at Staples Center on Tuesday night.
