VIDEO: Julius Randle Plays Board Game ‘Operation’ With Bleacher Report

The Los Angeles Lakers finished their Las Vegas Summer League campaign Friday by falling to the Utah Jazz, 84-78. Despite lofty expectations and the excitement surrounding the team’s roster, the young players only managed to win one out of the five games they played. Among those who hoped for better outings was Julius Randle.

The Lakers were understandably careful with Randle and imposed a 20-minute restriction on their power forward. Randle was also held out of the team’s second game. He expressed frustration with the limitation and being away from the court for so long. Nevertheless, Randle saw the bigger picture and the process of coming back slowly.

In his first games since last October, Randle showed some rust but managed to have a much better output in the team’s fourth game, a close one with the Dallas Mavericks that went to the final seconds.
