The 2001-2002 season was an interesting one for the Lakers. They were coming off back-to-back championships and a title run that saw them lose only one game in the post season — one of the NBA’s greatest playoff runs of all time. The Lakers, however, didn’t get off to the start that everyone expected. Despite the team not dominating in the fashion that everyone expected, the Lakers would still go on to win their third consecutive title (needing an epic seven-game series against the Kings to do so).
