VIDEO: Lakers Physical Therapist Judy Seto Is Kobe’s ‘Secret Weapon’

Before tearing his Achilles late in the 2012-13 season, Kobe Bryant rarely suffered from any long term injuries. One of the reasons Bryant has been able to remain healthy is his relationship with physical therapist, Judy Seto.

In an interview with ESPN, Seto details how she helps both Bryant and the Lakers.

Ever since coming into the league in 1996, Bryant has been using the services of Seto. Their link helped Seto get the title of Lead Physical Therapist for the Lakers three years ago.

During that time frame, the Lakers have gone through numerous changes. This season saw the Lakers miss the playoffs for just the sixth time in franchise history. Injuries largely contributed to the high number of losses and kept Seto busy all year.

Seto is set for another busy off-season as Bryant started a six-month training regiment Monday to recover from a knee injury. With Bryant having two years left on his contract, he will be heavily relying on Seto to help him stay on the court as his career winds down.
