Video: Lakers vs. Knicks Christmas Day Preview

At 12:00 PM PST, the Los Angeles Lakers will take on the New York Knicks at Staples Center. Get ready for an east versus west showdown, with two veteran Christmas Day teams, who’ve been neck and neck for the most wins on the 25th (The Knicks have 22 wins, the Lakers have 20). The Lakers have not won a game on Christmas Day since their win over the Celtics in 2008.

Last year, the Lakers lost to the Chicago Bulls; the year before that it was the Miami Heat; and the year before that it was the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Kobe Bryant will be making his 15th appearance on Christmas day, continuing his record of playing on Christmas for every full season of his career. He’s also now played in more Dec. 25th games than any player in NBA history.

With Steve Nash back and the Lakers coming off an overtime victory against the Golden State Warriors, the Lakers, who lost at MSG several games ago, will be looking for redemption.
