Since then, the Minnesota Timberwolves beat down the Detroit Pistons last night, and the Lakers learned of the news that Metta World Peace has a torn meniscus in his knee, and Jodie Meeks will be starting in his place.

In the Lakers last win against the Timberwolves (116-94), Nikola Pekovic, Andrei Kirilenko and Chase Budinger were all out with injuries.
