In a night where Kobe Bryant was trying to pass Michael Jordan for third on the NBA’s all-time scoring list, Nick Young stole the show.
Young was unconscious on Friday against the San Antonio Spurs hitting on five-of-nine from downtown. As the game dictated that Kobe take the role of facilitator down the stretch, Young found himself a few feet beyond the arc with seven seconds left. With Manu Ginobili square in his face, Young spotted up and buried the clutch three to win the game.
Here’s Young and Kobe celebrating after the win, via Whitney’s Vine account:
Young ended the game with 29 points with Kobe scoring 22 points and dishing out nine assists. Although, Kobe didn’t pass Jordan, the Lakers won their second straight game with a lot of good things to walk away with.
