Apple and Spectrum SportsNet have partnered to bring select Los Angeles Lakers games in Apple Immersive during the 2025-2026 NBA season after more than one year of development.
With dates forthcoming, fans soon will have an opportunity to watch the Lakers in an unparalleled experience on Apple Vision Pro. Through a brand new Spectrum SportsNet app for Vision Pro, fans can view and feel the intensity of select games being captured by URSA Cine Immersive Live cameras.
The live streams will be accessible to authenticated Spectrum SportsNet subscribers, as well as Spectrum Internet customers, via the company’s app in the Lakers’ broadcast territory (Southern California, Hawaii, Las Vegas and other parts of southern Nevada).
Full game replays and highlights will be available to Apple Vision Pro users in select countries and regions from both the SportsNet and NBA apps as well.
Lakers in Apple Immersive demo
LakersNation.com received an invitation to preview a Lakers experience in the new Apple Immersive.
The 1-on-1 experience began with facial scans to calibrate and individualize the Apple Vision Pro. From there was a tutorial on understanding the basics with the headset and to grasp its capabilities with displaying images, whether traditional, panoramic or spatial, along with videos.

For the Lakers game in Apple Immersive, the URSA Cine Immersive Live cameras produce 8K, 3D video with a 180-degree view. One of the cameras was positioned at center court, allowing the viewer to take in the game as if being seated courtside at Crypto.com Arena.
Within the scope of the fully immersive experience is being able to look up at the main scoreboard and ribbon boards that line the arena.
Additional camera angles supported through Apple Immersive were the behind the baskets, which gives fans a chance to take in the action along the baseline in an otherwise unobtainable perspective and proximity to the court.
The main takeaway from the experience is Apple Immersive putting the viewer at the heart of the action, whether to watch the Lakers, or various films and documentaries currently available in the format.
Still available is scaling down the size of the screen to allow for the viewer’s native the room to be seen in the background, or to load an environment through the Vision Pro headset’s dial.
The latest Apple Vision Pro with an M5 chip launched in October and ushered in an improved display and new Dual Knit Band. The comfortable band can be easily adjusted to obtain a personalized fit.
