Luka Doncic’s first full season as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers was one to remember. The superstar put on some legendary performances on his way to being named to his sixth All-NBA First Team and winning his second career NBA scoring title.
Now coming into this year, Doncic is looking to do more of the same, and the Lakers are choosing to celebrate his 2026 scoring title with a bobblehead giveaway on Nov. 1 when they host the Toronto Raptors. And the franchise recently unveiled the bobblehead while giving Doncic’s Lakers teammates a first look:

First and foremost, the bobblehead looks like Doncic, which is an extremely important part of anything like this, and it also captures him taking one of his signature shots, the floater. Doncic is a master at getting to his spots in the paint and pushing that floater above the opposing team’s big man and there are certain to be plenty more this season. His teammates also seem to like it as well, except of course for Austin Reaves, who had to get a dig in.
This will be an important season for Doncic as the Lakers have placed him firmly as the face of the franchise and remade the roster around him. Reaves is one of the only rotation players returning from last year’s team and there have been a number of new additions with Walker Kessler, Quentin Grimes, Sandro Mamukelashvili and others expected to play big roles.
Doncic’s 33.5 points per game last year were the second-highest of his career, narrowly trailing the 33.9 he averaged in 2024, which was not only the other season he won the scoring title, but also the year he went to the NBA Finals. That remains his ultimate goal with the Lakers and he plans on taking steps towards accomplishing that and leading this franchise back to championship glory.
Trevor Ariza discusses what Luka Doncic-led Lakers must do to win championship
There is no question what Doncic brings to the offensive side of the ball, but there remains some who believe he is a liability on the other end of the court. He undoubtedly gave much greater effort last season on defense, but some questions remain and Trevor Ariza believes the Lakers must focus on the defensive end to become a potential championship contender.
