Luka Doncic joined a very long list of superstar athletes in Los Angeles after his trade to the L.A. Lakers in 2025. That list now includes tons of players across sports, but most notably Shohei Ohtani of the L.A. Dodgers and Matthew Stafford and Myles Garrett of the L.A. Rams.
The superstars in this city and the teams they play for do a wonderful job of celebrating one another. And one way they do that is with cross-sport giveaways. The Dodgers announced a giveaway for a Doncic bobblehead later this season:

The bobblehead is a simple depiction of Doncic donning his purple and gold 77 uniform over a Dodgers base. The Lakers and Dodgers have always had a great relationship, and they have done a good job at honoring one another’s teams when possible. The Lakers hosted the Dodgers when they won their second straight World Series in 2025.
This is also not the only Lakers bobblehead that the Dodgers are doing this season. On Saturday, June 20, the Dodgers are doing a giveaway for Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal.
Fans of both the Lakers and Dodgers may want to be in attendance for that game against the Pittsburgh Pirates on August 21. Fans looking to do so can purchase tickets here. It will be interesting to see if Doncic shows up and throws out the first pitch on his bobblehead night, which he has yet to do since joining the Lakers.
Luka Doncic healthy for offseason
Doncic and the Lakers went on a tear in March last season, as he earned Western Conference Player of the Month honors and the team went 15-2.
Unfortunately, Doncic did not get to see how that stretch would carry over into the playoffs as with just a handful of games to go in the regular season, he suffered a Grade 2 left hamstring strain.
While that kept him out for the Lakers’ entire playoff run, it appears he is now fully healthy as the 27-year-old begins his offseason training. He was reportedly cleared to resume basketball activities on May 28, giving him as close to a fully healthy offseason as possible after a disappointing end to the 2025-26 season.
Doncic also will not be suiting up for Slovenia this summer, which means he will be fresher than usual at the start of training camp.
