New NikeLab Kobe X Elite Low HTM.

HTM detailing elevate the new, low-profile version of the KOBE X, available in three colorways.

HTM: A collaboration between Nike, Inc. President and CEO Mark Parker, Nike Vice President of Creative Concepts Tinker Hatfield and Fragment Design founder Hiroshi Fujiwara. HTM explores new concepts in design, using the latest technologies, projecting future applications. HTM has constantly elevated the Nike brand to new places with new concepts and ideas.

For the second consecutive year, Kobe’s signature shoe blends Nike’s newest performance technologies with a refined HTM aesthetic. The new NikeLab Kobe X Elite Low HTM is available in three colorways, each with a number of aesthetic details. Each colorway comes with two different sets of aglets that screw onto the laces. The aglets vary in color, each with a metallic finish and HTM lettering. HTM lettering accentuates the back tab, while each colorway features a unique lining in the heel collar. The all-black and multicolor versions of the shoe include molded leather tongue tops, while each sockliner highlights a silicone-printed “Kobe” logo.

The Kobe X Elite Low HTM’s hybrid cushioning system combines Nike Lunarlon cushioning, Nike Zoom Air and Nike Free-inspired siping, delivering a soft confortable feel, while also firm and flexible where its needed. An advanced traction system on the outsole features hundreds of “nodules” that grip the court and work to provide optimal traction. The flexible midsole and outsole enable the traction system to perform at its best when changing direction on the court. The outsole is complemented by a Flyknit upper with dynamic Nike Flywire technology. Part of the Flyknit upper is constructed with a clear knit yarn, creating translucent windows. This, along with the translucent rubber in the midsole and outsole is a nod to Kobe’s recent willingness to be more open and transparent.

These technologies work together to provide superior strength, breathability and support.

The NikeLab KOBE X Elite Low HTM will launch overseas on April 16. It will arrive at global NikeLab locations and on Nike.com/NikeLab this summer.
