UPDATE (October 13, 2015, at 9:40 PM PST): According to Los Angeles Lakers head coach Byron Scott, Kobe Bryant will be ready to play against the Golden State Warriors:

The Los Angeles Lakers got a bit of a scare in the preseason matchup against the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday night. Superstar Kobe Bryant headed to the Lakers locker room with an apparent leg injury that needed immediate attention.

According to Lakers reporter Mike Trudell, Bryant headed to the locker room after being kneed in the calf.

Although Bryant was taken out of the game and was taken to the locker room to be evaluated, the leg injury didn’t hinder his ability to walk. The injury didn’t appear to be severe, but stranger things have happened with some injuries being much worse than they initially appear.

Shortly after heading into the locker room, Trudell provided another update on Bryant’s status. Kobe was officially ruled out for the rest of the game with a lower leg contusion.

With only three preseason games remaining, Bryant may not see the floor again until the season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Oct. 28 after suffering the injury. The Lakers will be taking an extremely cautious approach with Bryant this year and for good reason considering his recent string of season-ending injuries.
