Lakers News: Julius Randle Discusses Frustrations With Losing Streak
Lakers Nation Roundtable: Should Larry Nance Jr. Lose Starting Spot To Julius Randle

The Los Angeles Lakers are in the midst of their third straight losing season and this one is the worst yet. The Lakers have lost eight straight games, their third losing streak of at least seven and the constant losing is not sitting well with Julius Randle.

Randle has been one of the bright spots for the Lakers this season, averaging a double-double in his second season, but he has been very open about his frustrations as the Lakers have struggled.

After the Lakers most recent loss, a second straight blowout to the Memphis Grizzlies, Randle spoke about the losing streak not mattering, he just hates to lose period:

“Eight-game losing streak, one-game losing streak, it doesn’t matter I don’t like losing regardless.”

Despite the constant losses, Randle revealed that he does feel like he’s developing before again noting his frustrations with the losses:

“I feel like I’m developing. Trying to get better every day, every game, take it to a new level. It’s just frustrating not winning.”

This is something that is good to see from Randle. Sometimes when players lose over and over, they begin to accept losing, but Randle is showing that it still bothers him and he is going to continue to work hard to turn things around.

Randle has gotten visibly better throughout the season. He is growing more comfortable with his jumper and has utilized his right hand more as the year has gone on. February has been his best month as he has averaged 12.9 points and 11.8 rebounds in 10 games this month. As long as he continues to develop at the rate he has, he will be a major reason why the losses begin to turn into wins.
