For months fans of the Los Angeles Lakers have been dreading the day when Kobe Bryant would play his final game. As it got closer, the thought shifted to how exactly would Kobe go out.

Thankfully for Lakers fans, and basketball fans across the world, Kobe went out only the way he can. Kobe scored 60 points, including 15 of the last 17 in leading the Lakers to a comeback 101-96 win over the Utah Jazz.

After the unbelievable performance, Kobe revealed that even he was in shock by how it all turned out according to Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters:

Kobe Bryant: "It's hard to believe that it happened this way. I'm still in shock about it." #MambaDay

— Serena Winters (@SerenaWinters) April 14, 2016

Kobe was truly amazing in the final game of his career. He became the oldest player in NBA history to score 60 points and truly willed the Lakers to this victory. It was easily the greatest moment of this Lakers season and will likely go down as one of the greatest moments of Kobe’s career as a whole.

There truly could not have been a better way for Kobe to go out. His teammates continually fed him the ball, encouraging to take every shot possible in his 42 minutes on the court. He also gave fans one last clutch performance to go out on.

The ticket price for Kobe’s final game was out of this world. That being said, it’s hard to believe that anyone in the building will regret paying whatever price they had to in order to witness this final performance.
