Lakers News: Dodgers’ Yasiel Puig Ran Into Shaquille O’Neal In New York

This past weekend former Los Angeles Lakers great Shaquille O’Neal, along with Allen Iverson, Yao Ming and others, were enshrined into the Basketball Hall of Fame.

O’Neal played 19 NBA seasons, eight with the Lakers, winning four NBA Championships, three NBA Finals Most Valuable Player awards, an NBA MVP in 2000, Rookie of the Year in 1993, being named an All-Star 15 times and to the All-NBA team 14 times.

Without question O’Neal is one of the most dominant NBA players of all-time, and that was highlighted in the eight seasons he played in Los Angeles where he won three of his four championships.

The Hall of Fame bid was a well deserved one for O’Neal, and recently many former teammates and friends of O’Neal’s, including Kobe Bryant and Phil Jackson have congratulated O’Neal on being immortalized.

They were not the only ones though, as Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig recently saw O’Neal in New York and tweeted out his congratulations as well:
