The Los Angeles Lakers continued their road trip when they arrived in Chicago looking for a win over the Bulls. With Nick Young out due to a calf injury and D’Angelo Russell still nursing a sore knee, Los Angeles would have to make due without their starting backcourt. Julius Randle has returned from a hip pointer but hasn’t quite looked like himself yet, so role players will need to step up in order to get the job done.
With the team sitting at nine wins and 10 losses, a victory would pull them back to .500, and would keep them in solid position in the Western Conference playoff race. It’s still early in the NBA season, but it’s nonetheless impressive that this Los Angeles team has put itself in that position.
