Though things got rough down the stretch, the Los Angeles Lakers ultimately ended their five-game Grammy road trip with a victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. The Lakers came away with two wins on the trip which may not seem like much, but is certainly an improvement over their last big trip when they got only one win in seven games.

One of the Lakers’ better players on this trip was Larry Nance Jr. who only returned from an injury just a couple of weeks ago. Nance was excellent throughout the trip averaging 10.6 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 2.0 steals, but he wasn’t the only one as D’Angelo Russell, Brandon Ingram, Nick Young and others all had their moments.

With the Lakers finally returning home, Nance spoke about the trip and according to Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters, believe the Lakers are coming back a better team:

Head coach Luke Walton definitely hopes that’s the case as the Lakers have had more than their fair share of struggles this season.

Often times during the Lakers’ championship years the Grammy road trip would help bring the team together for the home stretch of the season. The San Antonio Spurs often state the same about their annual ‘Rodeo Trip.’

Now that the trip is over, the Lakers have only a pair of games before taking some time off for the All-Star break. That time off combined with the improvement that Nance believes the Lakers made while on this road trip could be just what the Lakers need to make a run down the home stretch of this year and put the rest of the NBA on notice.
