Los Angeles Lakers rookie point guard Lonzo Ball’s father, LaVar, has been known to make some questionable statements in the past, such as that he would beat Michael Jordon in a game of one-on-one.

He recently took it to a new level, as he said that he and his youngest son, LaMelo, who is heading into his junior year at Chino Hills High School and is committed to play at UCLA, would beat Lakers Hall of Fame center Shaquille O’Neal and his son, Shareef in a game of two-on-two.

O’Neal fired back on his personal Instagram account, challenging LaVar to the game, saying that he would super glue a blonde wig to his head for the rest of his life if he and Shareef lost:

LaVar has neither accepted nor denied the challenge yet, but it seems as this matchup would be in favor of the O’Neal, as Shaquille was one of the most dominant forces in NBA history, and Shareef is one of the highest-touted high school talents in the country.

One thing that LaVar has demonstrated is that he is not afraid to back down from a challenge though and that he will do anything that involves promoting himself, his sons and their brand, Big Baller Brand. They even went as far as appearing at a WWE event recently, so it is possible that LaVar and LaMelo accept the challenge and go through with the game.
