Luka Doncic’s first full season with the Los Angeles Lakers has been a success thus far as the team has been one of the best in a loaded Western Conference.

Doncic is considered one of the favorites to win the 2025-26 MVP as he leads the NBA in scoring and shows no signs of slowing down. Doncic’s body transformation has paid off as he looks far more energized on both ends of the floor, even deep into games after playing heavy minutes.

While Doncic’s on-court production has been everything the organization was hoping for, he’s also proven to be an incredibly well-liked person off of it. Doncic has found ways to build team chemistry and camaraderie through bonding events, and with Christmas coming up he surprised Lakers teammates and staff members with E-bikes.

Doncic believes he ended up getting the most use out of it and explained he wanted to gift something to everyone in the organization for their hard work.

“I probably drove it the most yesterday on the beach, so probably the most. But I just wanted to give everybody something,” he said. “Everybody works hard even the people you don’t see in the back so wanted to do something for them, too.”

Doncic also joked that he was worried for Jaxson Hayes and advised everyone to get a helmet when riding the e-bikes.

“I saw Jaxson ride it and that was scary. I don’t know, I don’t trust him. He needs a helmet, everybody needs a helmet. But I didn’t see many people ride it, so it was definitely me.”

It’s an awfully kind gesture for Doncic, who continues to show that he is a generous person with other people’s best interests at heart. As the new face of the franchise, Doncic seems to understand that he is responsible for setting the culture and so far the results have been incredibly positive.

Gifts aside, though, Los Angeles still has a tall task ahead as they try to keep pace with the rest of the conference. Doncic and the Lakers are steadily building themselves up and it’ll be exciting to see just how far they go.

Luka Doncic wants Lakers to keep building chemistry

Doncic has a knack for getting the best out of his teammates and a large part of that is the chemistry he has with each player. Doncic is confident in the Lakers roster and expressed his desire to have them continue building chemistry game by game.
