The Los Angeles Lakers’ return to Cleveland wasn’t just a return home for superstar LeBron James, but also a return for his son Bronny James, who, like his father, was also born in nearby Akron, Ohio. Bronny grew up in Ohio, attending many of his father’s games as a member of the Cavaliers and spending plenty of time on the Cavaliers’ home court as a child.
Unfortunately for LeBron, Bronny and the Lakers, they were blown out by the Cavaliers in their return, but Bronny did put forth his best performance of the season in garbage time. Bronny hit all three of his shots from the field, including a pair of 3-pointers, and finished with eight points, two rebounds, an assist and a steal which led to a highlight breakaway dunk.
The game was also special for another reason for Bronny as he debuted his new Nike signature logo while sporting a pair of Nike LeBron Witness 9 PE, via Nice Kicks:

The logo itself is a nice one that stands out as his number 9 acts as the hole in the lowercase “b.” Many may not care for Bronny having his own Nike logo, but these are the perks of being the son of LeBron while also playing for the Lakers. Bronny likely won’t be getting his own signature shoe anytime soon, but having his own logo on LeBron shoes is harmless in the grand scheme of things.
While Bronny still has yet to carve out a spot in the rotation for JJ Redick and the Lakers, he is still progressing and has had some strong showings for the South Bay Lakers of the G League. In three regular season appearances for South Bay, Bronny is averaging 17 points, 5.7 assists and 1.3 steals while shooting 62.5% from the field and 42.7% from 3-point range.
Lakers’ LeBron James hasn’t thought about retirement or farewell tour yet
Following the contest between the Lakers and Cavaliers in Cleveland, much of the discussion centered around Bronny James’ father LeBron James and whether this would be his last appearance in Cleveland. LeBron could retire after this season, but the Lakers superstar said he hasn’t thought about retirement or a possible farewell tour just yet.
