Lakers News and Rumors Recap: Kobe Misses Second Game of the Season

Kobe Bryant’s shin is at it again.

Saturday night marked the first game this season in which Kobe Bryant had to sit out a game, and unfortunately, tonight’s match-up against the Hornets seems to be a repeat. Ironically, Kobe initially injured his left shin 10 days ago against New Orleans.

The Suns dominated the Lakers on Saturday, much in part due to the team’s star player sitting out, resulting in a 125-105 scoreboard. So far this season, the Lakers have prevailed over the Hornets in both conference games, but they may not get so lucky tonight. Kobe is one of those players known to play through injuries; he noticeably has been nursing a strained finger for quiet some time now and played  good part of this season with a broken nose. But this time, even while nursing his leg using a shin guard and walking boot, his injury has proved too much to play with. Let’s hope that Sessions and Bynum bring some heat tonight and show that the Lakers are not just a one man job.
