Lakers News: Mike Brown Fired, Mike D’Antoni Possible Replacement

With the news breaking that the Lakers have fired coach Mike Brown, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports that the Lakers may be looking at Mike D’Antoni.

As head coach of the Phoenix Suns, D’Antoni was most known for facilitating a fast pace offense. Earlier this year, he resigned as the head coach of the New York Knicks after a six-game losing streak. In the summer of 2012, D’Antoni also returned to Team USA as an assistant coach.

Wojnarowski also reports that due to a recent knee replacement surgery, D’Antoni isn’t quite on his feet yet.
