The Lakers are getting pretty desperate to keep Dwight Howard in Los Angeles. After putting up several big billboards around the city, the latest attempt to entice their center to stay is by placing a painting of the back of his jersey on the Beverly Hills Hotel.

I’m not sure if this desperation will help the Lakers re-sign Howard or not, but it’s certain that the fans are beginning to show their displeasure with the billboards. While many fans do want Howard back, they don’t seem to be enjoying watching the team grovel over him.
Regardless, the campaign to keep Howard won’t last much longer, as the big man has reportedly stated that he will make his decision by July 10.

According to Eric Pincus of HoopsWorld, the jersey on the side of the hotel isn’t actually on the side of the hotel. It’s a Photoshop job. Here’s what Pincus had to say;
I'm home – no, Dwight Howard's jersey is not on the Beverly Hills Hotel – it was obviously a stunt from @Lakers twitter account

Well, I guess a social media campaign to keep the big man is better than nothing?
