Lakers News: Kobe Bryant Voted Favorite Player On NBA Rookie Survey

20130711_123548_0711_SPT_TDB-L-Lakers.159-L_500Every year at the annual rookie photo shoot, the NBA has the new crop of youngsters fill out a survey about the others in their class. The questions include who is the best incoming rookie, the best shooter of the bunch, the most athletic and the funniest.

The last question asked on the survey, however, is the rookies’ favorite current player in the league, and this year their favorite was none other than Kobe Bryant. Check out how the rookies voted.

1: Kobe Bryant, L.A. Lakers — 21.2 percent
2: LeBron James, Miami — 15.2 percent
T-3rd: Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City & Dirk Nowitzki, Dallas — 12.1 percent
T-5th: Kevin Garnett, Brooklyn & Chris Paul, L.A. Clippers — 9.1 percent
Others receiving votes: Carmelo Anthony, New York; Vince Carter, Dallas; Tim Duncan, San Antonio; James Harden, Houston; Kawhi Leonard, San Antonio; Steve Nash, L.A. Lakers; Dwyane Wade, Miami

Last year, LeBron James was voted as the rookies’ favorite player. Despite coming off consecutive Finals MVPs, James couldn’t defend his title as the rookies’ favorite player.

Lakers rookie Ryan Kelly received votes for best shooter, but finished by the Sacramento Kings’ Ben McLemore.
