Lakers News: Kendall Marshall Tweets After Breakout Game Vs Jazz

Kendall MarshallOnto their 18th lineup in 33 games and sixth different starting point guard, the Los Angeles Lakers got a much needed surprise performance from point guard Kendall Marshall last night. Marshall led the Lakers to a 110-99 win against the Utah Jazz, snapping a six-game losing streak and showing he’s worthy of keeping.

Signed out of the D-League two-and-a-half weeks ago, Marshall finished with 20 points, six rebounds and 15 assists in his first start in purple and gold. After the game, the UNC product talked about the road getting back to this point and even took to Twitter to share his thoughts about his performance:

Every time he was asked about himself, Marshall stressed the team and how big of a win it was. With 10 of their next 11 games on the road after Sunday, the Lakers are hopeful he continues his high-level of play with Steve Nash, Steve Blake and Jordan Farmar all on the mend.

Here’s one of the highlights from Marshall’s night, a great pass to Shawne Williams in the corner for a three:
