Andrew Bynum’s Most Memorable Lakers Moments, Pt. I

8. Andrew Bynum: 2012 Western Conference All-Star

After averaging  16 points and 13 rebounds through the first half of the season, it was no surprise that Bynum was selected by the fans to be the starting center for the Western Conference All-Star Team. The selection was a validation of all the hard work, pain, and suffering Bynum went through in the gym, the weight room, the operating room, and the trainer’s room. It was also validation for Jim Buss and Mitch Kupchak using the 10th pick of the 2005 NBA Draft on the chubby kid from southern Jersey who most of us had never heard of.
