Breaking News: Kobe Bryant Set To Miss Six Weeks With Knee Injury

The Los Angeles Lakers have suffered yet another severe blow in the backcourt with superstar Kobe Bryant going down with a injury that will keep him out six weeks according to Lakers Nation reporter Serena Winters via Twitter:

As if the injuries to Steve Blake, Steve Nash and Jordan Farmar weren’t bad enough for this team, Bryant going down for the next six weeks is potentially devastating for the Lakers.

Bryant suffered the knee injury in the win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday. Despite clearly being bothered by the injury initially, Bryant decided to stay in the game playing through the injury in the fourth quarter.

With Bryant now out for six weeks and Farmar still on the mend along with Nash and Blake, the Lakers’ front office will be officially in desperation mode. Now the team is forced to look for help via free agency with no healthy point guards on the roster or viable replacements outside Xavier Henry and Nick Young.
