Brian Shaw Agrees to Become Associate Coach of Indiana Pacers

Former Lakers assistant coach Brian Shaw has reportedly reached an agreement to join the Indiana Pacers as an associate head coach. Shaw was one of the front-runners to get the Los Angeles head coaching position after the departure of Phil Jackson, but the franchise ultimately hired Mike Brown.

Now Indianapolis Star beat writer Mike Wells is announcing that his sources have confirmed Shaw as a new associate coach for the Indiana Pacers.

Shaw had been an assistant coach for the Lakers since 2004 and spent 1999-2003 playing for the franchise. Shaw helped the team win three consecutive championships from 2000-02.
