Los Angeles Lakers 2015 No. 2 draft pick D’Angelo Russell stood off to the side as he listened to the press conference for his new head coach Luke Walton on Tuesday afternoon. He smiled when Walton talked about bringing a joyous and fun brand of basketball to the organization.
After listening to the thirty minute presser, Russell chatted with the media about his excitement to learn under Walton and play the Golden State Warriors style of basketball that Walton plans to implement in Los Angeles. Russell also addressed recent trade rumors and why he’s not worried about them.
Plus, Russell recently starred in a Foot Locker commercial, alongside the Minnesota Timberwolves’ Karl-Anthony Towns and the Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker, giving advice to projected number one draft pick Ben Simmons, in which he seemingly makes light of the Nick Young drama last season.
