GM Survey: Clippers Voted Heavy Favorites To Win Pacific Division

lakersclippersThe Los Angeles Lakers have dominated the Pacific Division for quite some time now, but it appears as though there is a changing of the guard.

The Clippers won their first ever Pacific Division title in 2012-13 and by the looks of it, the “little brother” will be winning another one this season. According to the NBA.com GM survey, 89.7 percent of those running the front offices believe the Clippers will win the crown, while 10. percent had the Golden State Warriors as the best team in the division.

This is not much of a surprise as the Lakers did not make any major additions this summer. Dwight Howard has found a way to Houston, and the Lakers are heading into this season with very low expectations.

Last season, the Lakers were expected to not only win the Pacific Division, but were the favorites to dethrone the Miami Heat. However, fast-forward 365 days, and the Lakers will be lucky to even make the playoffs.

The Clippers and Warriors made great moves over the offseason, and they are both poised for success. The Lakers are a fairly older bunch, and they will have trouble dealing with the teams in their division and the Western Conference.
