Houston to Host 2013 NBA All-Star Game

According to MyFoxHouston the Toyota Center in downtown Houston will be the site for the 2013 NBA All-Star Game.

Houston, which also hosted the All-Star festivities in 2006, will once again get the chance to host the three day NBA extravaganza in 2013. Next season, if there is a next season, the All-Star Game will be held in the brand new Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. But if the lockout continues there is a chance the All-Star Game will be added to the chopping block next season.

As reported by NBC Sports Pro Basketball Talk, the NBA likes to keep the All-Star Game in warm weather climates since many of the parties and events are held outdoors. This becomes tricky since the game is held in February each year.

Regardless, multiple sources are indeed reporting that the NBA will be back in Houston for All-Star weekend in 2013.

The most recent All-Star Game was held in Los Angeles last season, and saw Kobe Bryant walk away with the All-Star Game Most Valuable Player award.
