Kobe Bryant Dishes Out $329,000 on a New Ferrari 458 Italia

He may be getting a divorce, but at least Kobe Bryant has a beautiful new lady to smile about; I am talking about his brand new Ferrari 458 Italia be bought this past Saturday for $329,000. Cash.

That’s right, according to TMZ, Kobe payed for the speedster in full with a check.

Most of us would break a sweat over spending that kind of money, but when you’re Bryant, making roughly 25 million for this season, $329,000 is chump change.

The Ferrari 459 Italia is powered by a 4.5 L V8 engine, and currently holds the world record for most power per liter in a naturally aspirated production car engine.  With an official 0-100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration under 3.4 seconds, and a top speed over 325 km/h (202 mph), Kobe has quite the toy.

Maybe this could explain Kobe’s being benched during last night’s loss to the Memphis Grizzlies at the Staples Center; he was dreaming of the open road.

Hey Kobe, seeing as you have a new car, how about you throw the old one my way?
