Kobe Bryant Joins Twitter For Several Hours Wednesday Night

Last night the internet was ablaze with the news that Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant had joined the Twitterverse. Bryant’s account, titled simply @KobeBryant, amassed nearly 40,000 followers in a matter of hours.

Unfortunately for Bryant fanatics the account was ultimately suspended after only one tweet. According to Yahoo! Sports, the account was created prematurely by Bryant’s team, but will be back eventually.

So for those NBA fans looking for ways to get more Kobe Bryant during the lockout, it appears as if you’ll have to do with surprise Drew League appearances, unless you live in Manila.
