Kobe Bryant On Marc Gasol: ‘He’s A Bad Boy’

Things won’t get any easier for the Los Angeles Lakers after losing two straight games to the Dallas Mavericks and Denver Nuggets. Marc Gasol’s Memphis Grizzlies will come to town on Wednesday night sporting the NBA’s best record at 12-2.

After practice on Tuesday, Kobe Bryant spoke to the media and had nothing but high praise for star center Marc Gasol. Bryant said the following about his former teammate’s brother, via Eric Pincus of the Los Angeles Times:

In their last meeting with the Grizzlies, the Lakers were able to give the Western Conference leaders a run for their money. Unfortunately, Byron Scott’s squad were unable to seal the deal and fell to Memphis on the road, 107-102.

Gasol came extremely close to recording a triple-double against the Lakers back on Nov. 11. The Grizzlies leader in the paint scored only eight points on 3-of-10 shooting against Los Angeles, but dished out a game-high nine assists and grabbed eight rebounds.

Although the Lakers match up surprisingly well with the Grizzlies, Memphis will come into this game anticipating a 13th win on the season. Gasol and company have won eight out of their last 10 games and have a lot of people singing their praises as arguably the best team in the league up to this point in the 2014-15 NBA season.
