Markelle Fultz will work out for the Lakers on Thursday, according to Mike Bresnahan of Spectrum SportsNet:

The pre-draft workouts continue on for the Los Angeles Lakers as both De’Aaron Fox and Josh Jackson worked out for the team on Tuesday. With the NBA Draft just over a week away things are getting no clearer for the Lakers.

Jackson’s workout on Tuesday afternoon was his second for the team which has brought up questions about whether others would be brought in again as well. Not to mention ongoing questions about top prospect Markelle Fultz, who has been rumored to be meeting with the Lakers later this week.

According to Mark Medina of the LA Daily News, the Lakers will be bringing in Lonzo Ball for a second workout, and Fultz also looks like he will be working out at some point as well:

Ball had been widely rumored to be the favorite to land in Los Angeles, but he reportedly was out of shape in his first workout for the Lakers. At this point it is still anyone’s guess as to who will be taken second.

Fultz is viewed by many as the draft’s top prospect and the clear favorite to go first overall to the Boston Celtics. Most would assume that Fultz wouldn’t need to work out for anyone else, but anything is possible and the Lakers are certainly happy to get an up close look at Fultz just in case the Celtics pass.

June 22 is the date when all of this will finally be cleared up, but until that date the Lakers will continue to do as much homework on as many prospects as possible. Whether it is Fultz, Ball, Jackson, or Fox the Lakers will be adding a major piece to their rebuilding effort.
