Lakers Nation Podcast: Episode 6
Unnamed

LakersNation.com’s Jabari Davis was joined by Jamieson Welsh (Fox Sports Radio) and Jordan Buscarini (Castle Country Radio) once again for this week’s episode. The three of them took a look at how Los Angeles Lakers guard D’Angelo Russell compares to the production of some of his contemporaries from the top of his draft class. We also addressed some of the off-the-court and maturity issues of Jahlil Okafor, as Jabari asked if there could have potentially been warning signs that could have caused the organization to shy away from drafting the big man.

The three of them also dove into the impending and inevitable final call for Kobe Bryant, how the team and coaching staff in particular could place him in more ideal situations and positions on the court in order to best utilize him in his final season. The LakersNation.com Roundtable question of the week was: Should Bryant go ahead and retire at some point in the season?

While none of them believed the idea of forcing or even asking a five-time champion out the door was even fathomable, the discussion did center around the potential of another injury making the decision a lot easier or perhaps more difficult, depending on the perspective.
