Lakers Nation Week in Review: February 15 – February 22

The trade deadline has finally passed us and Pau Gasol, Jordan Hill and Chris Kaman are still members of the Los Angeles Lakers. However, Steve Blake was surprisingly traded and the Lakers brought in two young players from the Golden State Warriors.

Even though the front office was fairly quite during this deadline, there is a good chance they will be very busy over the summer as they try to rebuild. Nevertheless, it was another busy week and here is a look back at the past seven days.

Lakers Nation News: 

Mike D’Antoni said 75% of practices focus on defense.

Kent Bazemore said he grew up idolizing Kobe Bryant. 

Steve Nash may be day-to-day for the remainder of the season.

The Blake trade will create more time for Kendall Marshall and Jordan Farmar.

Mitch Kupchak expects Nick Young to opt out this season.

Pau Gasol is happy to remain on the team passed the trade deadline. 

Kupchak said the team will not spend all its cap space this season.

Kobe reacted to the Steve Blake trade over Twitter. 

Steve Blake reflected on his final moments as a Laker.

The Lakers shipped Steve Blake to the Warriors for Kent Bazemore and MarShon Brooks. 

Kevin Love believes the Timberwolves have a better foundation than the Lakers.

Gasol is looking forward to this summer’s free agency period. 

Former Laker Lamar Odom has signed with a Spanish team.

Bryant may compete in the 2015 Three-Point Contest.
